"When we got beat, we didn't whinge about it; we took it on the chin. And we're going to enjoy the victories!" was Borough Boss, Tommy Widdrington's response after a difficult match against bottom club Concord Rangers.
A sparkling start to the season, followed by two away defeats was the backdrop for Concord's visit to Priory Lane on Tuesday, 16 August. A fact Tommy acknowledges, "Our home form is great, but our away form needs improving," he conceded. This was the Borough's fourth game in tend days and both sides showed they were keen to get a win on the board but certainly didn't want to lose any points either.
In the end the Sports showed their character and banished he disappointments of their recent results and losing the lead against Concord to bounce back at the death with a great Nat Pinney goal and grab all three points!
After the match we spoke with Borough boss, Tommy Widdrington for his views on the game and the recent away games and look forward to the Trip to Hungerford as well as the next home match against Ebbsfleet.
